Syed Moinuddin MBE

CCES is proud to announce that Syed Moinuddin, a Customs Cooperation Senior Policy Adviser with HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) and one of our Masters students, has been awarded an MBE.

Syed was nominated by HMRC in recognition of his passion in promoting the work of Customs internationally, including in his role working with overseas customs authorities in negotiating a customs mutual assistance agreement to combat customs fraud and influencing international standards on trade facilitation in the World Customs Organization (WCO).

Syed’s nomination also highlighted his commitment to continuous professional learning (which hehimself is demonstrating as a part time student in the Master of Customs Administration), sharingknowledge on good practices and insights, and supporting developing customs authoritiesmodernise their administrations in his role as an accredited WCO customs modernisation adviser.
