Qatari Graduates Honoured

On 6 November 38 Qatari Customs officers were honoured during a Community College of Qatar(CCQ) graduation ceremony in Doha. The officers had earlier graduated from Charles Sturt University with a Bachelor of Border Management (Customs), having previously gained their Associate Degree from CCQ.

During the ceremony, Professor David Widdowson AM, CEO of the Centre for Customs and ExciseStudies (CCES) at Charles Sturt was invited by CCQ President, Dr. Khalid Mohamed Al-Horr to join him in recognising the achievements of the former CCQ graduates who had progressed to the Charles Sturt Bachelor course through intra-university articulation arrangements.

The officers are part of a significant education program that is being sponsored by the Qatar General Authority of Customs. During his visit to Qatar, Professor Widdowson also met with HE Mr. Ahmedbin Abdullah Al-Jamal, the Chairman of the General Customs Authority, to discuss ways to further develop the partnership between their organisations.

CCES congratulates the graduates and wishes them well in their future careers.
