OCO Governance Workshop

It was a great pleasure for CCES to again partner with the Oceania Customs Organisation (OCO)  to deliver Corporate Governance, Succession Planning and Mentoring training to 17 senior managers from Customs administrations from across the Pacific.  The training is part of the OCOs Strategic Priority One of enhancing the leadership capability of its members in enabling Customs’ modernisation reforms. During the workshop, participants learnt how to promote accountability, transparency, and compliance within their administrations; how to effectively develop strategic plans and corporate governance frameworks; and how to identify and develop a stream of talented future leaders within their organisations. Through a mix of theory and practice, participants were able to better understand how to mitigate risks and develop business continuity measures for sustainable future-ready Customs administrations.
