Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority Day Celebrations

The Fiji Revenue and Customs Authority (FRCA) held a CEO’s Forum on 17 April 2015 in Suva. Speakers included the Hon Prime Minister Josaia Voreqe Bainimarama, Australian Customs and Border Protection Service CEO Mr Roman Quaedvlieg, New Zealand Deputy Comptroller Mr Bill Perry, New Zealand Inland Revenue Department Manager Ms Katrina Williams, and Centre for Customs and Excise Studies CEO Professor David Widdowson.

The Forum, which was organised by FRCA CEO Mr Jitoko Tikolevu, provided an opportunity for members of the international trading community to consult with senior representatives of FRCA on issues of strategic importance as FRCA progresses its comprehensive reform agenda. Professor Widdowson said, “the Forum was a great success. It provided an ideal opportunity for some very frank discussions between FRCA and industry, and was an excellent example of industry consultation in action. CEO Jitoko Tikolevu and his team are to be commended for this initiative.”
