Australian Border Force (ABF) has partnered with the Centre for Customs and Excise Studies (CCES) to deliver a pilot Trade Enforcement Specialist Training Program to 30 ABF officers. The program, which commenced in April 2021 addresses contemporary and emerging issues in the highly specialised areas of customs, excise and border management.
Aligned with the World Customs Organization’s Professional Standards, the program provides officers with specialist knowledge and skills to undertake more complex trade enforcement activities, and address complex trade issues in the current global environment.
Importantly, this course if successfully completed can be counted towards accreditation in higher education courses offered by CCES in Border Management and Customs Administration, should participants wish to continue their studies.
