Michael Nielsen

Michael had over 35 years with the Australian Taxation Office and Australian Public Service.  As a senior technical advisor and manager he has extensive experience in income tax, indirect tax, excise, Australian Trusted Trader, customs licensing and maritime tax policy.  He project managed the implementation of a number of significant changes to the Goods and Service Tax legislation.

Michael holds a Master of International Revenue Administration and is the academic course convenor for the Centre’s Border Revenue subject in its postgraduate program.
