Bryce Blegen is the Regional Representative, Americas, and a Senior Lecturer for the Centre for Customs & Excise Studies, Charles Sturt University. He is also CEO of Trusted Trade Alliance LLC, headquartered in Vancouver, Washington, USA, is Of Counsel to the Chicago, IL law firm of Page, Fura P.C. and a member of the board of the International Customs Law Academy.
Mr. Blegen's research is focused in the areas of US Customs & trade law, border management policy, supply-chain security and AEO programs, export controls and sanctions, and the application of technology in cross-border processes. He has developed, delivered and managed courses and programs on Customs and trade law, export controls, and trade facilitation at the master and vocational levels for CCES, in partnership with the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, and in conjunction with USAID programs supporting trade facilitation in Central America.
After university studies in Minnesota and Germany, Mr. Blegen received a Juris Doctor and a Master of Arts in International Studies from the University of Denver. He is currently a PhD candidate at Charles Sturt University. Mr. Blegen is admitted to practice law before the US Court of International Trade, the US Federal and the Illinois state court systems.
