On Friday 17th July 2015, Adjunct Associate Professor Creck Buyonge Mirito joined Kenya-based alumni of the Masters in International Customs Law & Administration (MICLA) at a University of Canberra dinner held at Ole Sereni Hotel, Nairobi, Kenya.
The dinner provided a good opportunity for alumni to catch up on their professional and personal development following graduation, and explore ways of working together in the future. Priorities identified for the near future include holding regular networking events to bring more alumni on board, sharing information on relevant developments in the region, and collaboration in implementing projects. Kenyan alumni of the MICLA and Master of International Revenue Administration (MIRA) work with multinationals like General Electric, consulting firms like Deloitte, as well as at the Kenya Revenue Authority.
The UC East African Regional Alumni Coordinator, Mr. Kimani Kang’ethe, a MICLA graduate currently working with Kenya Revenue Authority as a technical trainer, coordinated the event.
