On 9 July 2015, 10 CCES Alumni from Solomon Islands Customs and Excise Department (SICED) hosted a dinner for CCES lecturers Shane Davie, Jayantha Amarasekera and Stephen Muller. The three were in the Solomon Islands conducting a needs analysis on the WTO – TFA.
Since 2000, 13 SICED Customs Officers have represented the Solomon Islands on the Customs International Executive Management Program (CIEMP), which has been hosted by the Australian Customs and Border Protection Service.
“We are really pleased to host the dinner and meet some of our beloved lecturers. I am personally thankful to CCES for being instrumental in my career development. I am sure, my colleagues present here will share the same sentiment” said Mr. Max Erenimae, National Manager SICED. He added that Mr. Nathan Kama who is the current comptroller of SICED was the first participant and that all three current National Managers of SICED were proud CCES alumni.
