Biography:

A highly motivated and passionate professional with a strong background in international, regional and national regulatory affairs, business development, stakeholder management, policy development and implementation, in-depth knowledge of international trade and regulatory affairs with commercial background gained in the public and private sectors.

Having operated  in both the public and private sectors in the field of regulatory compliance as to that related to customs, biosecurity, transport security and other trade related matters. This representation, as a director of several international, regional and national non-governmental entities, has seen me represent those bodies at entities such as the United Nations, World Customs Organization (WCO), International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and in other international and regional fora. I have had extensive dealings with customs administrations including United States Customs and Border Protection, and others within the European Union and work with the European Commission, in particular DG TAXUD.

I am an Adjunct Professor with Charles Sturt University , hold a Master of Justice and other qualifications in law, accounting and international trade. In my roles at the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Association (FIATA), the International Federation of Customs Brokers Association and the Customs Brokers and Forwarders Council of Australia Inc. (CBFCA), I have represented the interests of service providers in international trade logistics and supply chain management with a variety of regulatory agencies.
