Australian Trusted Trader open for business

Border Force Logo

One of Australia’s major trade reforms—Australian Trusted Trader (ATT)—is now open to all Australian businesses active in the international supply chain.

The programme is a voluntary trade facilitation initiative that recognises businesses with a secure supply chain and compliant trade practices. ATT is free to join, and businesses are not required to use a consultant to complete any part of the application process.

To be eligible for the programme, businesses must have an Australian Business Number, two years of trading history and be financially solvent.

Trusted Trader partnerships recognise industry reliance on speed—to production and to market—and greater certainty and visibility of their goods. Trusted Traders are offered a range of trade facilitation benefits including:

  • a dedicated account manager
  • priority trade services
  • differentiated and prioritised examinations
  • Mutual Recognition Arrangements (upon signing)
  • use of the Australian Trusted Trader logo.

Eligible businesses can take a step towards becoming a Trusted Trader by submitting an expression of interest via the Australian Trusted Trader website. Once submitted, an Australian Border Force contact officer will discuss the next steps with you.
