The Centre for Customs & Excise Studies (CCES) recently hosted members of the Thai Excise Department on a fact finding mission to Canberra to support drafting of new excise regulations for Thailand.  After an initial briefing at the CCES at Charles Sturt University, CCES accompanied the Thai delegation to meetings with the Office of Trade Negotiations, Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade, and with Product Assurance – Excise, Australian Taxation Office.

It was also a return to Canberra for an alumna Ms Prapakorn Chamchong, Senior Taxonomist with the Thai Excise Department who was a recent graduate of CCES’s Master of International Revenue program.
