February 2014 will see CCES co-located with Charles Sturt University (CSU) in the Parliamentary Triangle of the nation’s capital, Canberra. This will facilitate the development of new border management, trade and enforcement programs and the expansion of existing subjects with both organisations being housed under the one roof.
The CCES move will be completed in time for the March 2014 delivery of CCES’s new Bachelor of Border Management Degree and the Graduate Certificate in Customs Administration. The move will further enhance the relationship and communication between CSU and CCES, and comes six months after a partnership between the two was announced.
Relocating into the CSU-leased premises will also allow CCES to work closely with the Australian Graduate School of Policing and Security, and the School of Policing. The three schools complement each another, by providing a broad spread of subjects and industry expertise in border management, trade, border enforcement enforcement and security.
The new facilities include a state of the art training centre able to accommodate up to 80 students. The $1million project includes extra office space, staff break out areas and hot desk capabilities.
